Black cookies.

Few weeks ago my friend had a b-day, so I made something for her. As I still had some peanut butter jars my dad sent me, I decided to make extra super delicious peanut cookies. It wasn`t hard to find a recipe – I am not the only one who loves PB! I must say these were one of the best ones I`ve made.

Chocolate cookies with peanut butter filling.  Extra crunchy, extra yummy.

As there were lots of requests, I give you the recipe for these yumyums:


1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup  sugar

1/2 cup  unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup smooth peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg

For the filling: 3/4 cup peanut butter, crunchy or smooth, your choice

3/4 cup caster sugar

Perheat the owen to 200 degrees.

Whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.

In another  bowl, beat together the sugar, butter, and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and the egg,  then stir in the dry ingredients, blend well.

To make the filling: In a small bowl, stir together the peanut butter and caster sugar until smooth.

Take the cookie batter (about 1 tea spoon). Make one flat, round “pancake”. Put the filling in the middle, then put another “pancake” on top. Close the sides of the cookie. You can make any shape you like. Pop into the oven and bake for 7 to 9 minutes.
